About Upper Arlington

Krystin Macaluso, Area Director

Krystin is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Ohio 21 years ago to attend Ohio University where she met her husband, Tony, a native of Upper Arlington. After graduating with a degree in Organizational Communication Krystin worked in the nonprofit and higher education sectors before obtaining her Real Estate license and joining Tony at Coldwell Banker King Thompson.  Krystin and Tony have two sons.  Krystin is an active volunteer in the community and Upper Arlington schools.  She is currently PTO President for Tremont Elementary.  She has also been involved with Kitchen Kapers, Pleasure Guild for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and is a Parishioner at St. Agatha Catholic Church.  Krystin is excited about the opportunity that Neighborhood Bridges will bring to spread kindness throughout the Upper Arlington community!

Michaela Burriss, Area Director

After experiencing poverty and homelessness as a child, Michaela Burriss believes in the power of giving back and creating opportunities for others.  After a local coach let her train for free, Michaela accepted a full athletic scholarship to the Ohio University Varsity Swimming and Diving team, becoming a first-generation college graduate.  A small business owner and public servant, Michaela works from her home office in Upper Arlington doing predominantly consulting and nonprofit education and advocacy work.  An attorney, who has been selected for the Columbus Bar Association’s Barrister Leadership Program and the Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellowship, she graduated from Capital University Law School receiving the “Students Giving Back to Students” class gift in 2012.  She currently serves on the Law School’s Alumni Relations Board.  When she is not working or spending time with her husband Patrick and their fur- babies Bowser and Koopa, Michaela enjoys serving on the LeadershipUA Board of Directors, having participated as a class member in 2015-2016.  She also volunteers with the Upper Arlington High School Women’s Swimming and Diving team and is active in politics. Michaela's unsuccessful bid for Upper Arlington City Council in 2017 garnered national recognition including endorsements from Launch Progress PAC, Run for Something, and EMILY's List - the nation's largest organization for women in politics.  Michaela is thrilled to co-Direct Upper Arlington Bridges and facilitate more of the life altering kindness like she received growing up.
